I was misdiagnosed and untreated for almost a year before they figured out I had several bulging discs and a disc herniation that required surgical repair. During that year the only thing that kept my pain down enough to function at all was Reiki. I wasn't familiar with it when it was first offered to me, but I was willing to try anything to help with the pain as I went from specialist to specialist until my injury was finally diagnosed.
